Start your day with breakfast at our guesthouse before meeting your guide at 9:00 AM. Your adventure begins with a traditional river crossing, followed by a scenic walk through local rubber plantations on the way to Gunung Leuser National Park.

Once inside the rainforest, follow your guide along jungle trails while searching for Sumatran orangutans and other incredible wildlife. If you’re lucky, you’ll witness these amazing primates swinging through the canopy or caring for their young in their natural habitat.

Take a short break to enjoy fresh tropical fruits before continuing your trek to a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the Bohorok River Valley. Surrounded by endless rainforest, it’s the perfect place to pause and appreciate the beauty of Gunung Leuser.

After a freshly prepared lunch in the jungle, continue your exploration while looking out for Thomas Leaf Monkeys, Long-tailed Macaques, Pig-tailed Macaques, Monitor Lizards, and other native wildlife. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to cool off with a refreshing swim in a nearby river or waterfall.

By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at your riverside campsite. Take time to relax with a warm drink, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and freshen up before sitting down to a home-cooked dinner.

As evening falls, gather around the campfire with your guides to share stories, enjoy good conversation, and experience the magical atmosphere of the rainforest before settling into your tent for a restful night beneath the jungle canopy.

Wake up to the sounds of the rainforest and enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast before continuing your trek deeper into Gunung Leuser National Park.

Today’s journey offers another chance to discover the rainforest’s incredible biodiversity. Keep an eye out for White-handed Gibbons, forest turtles, the impressive Great Argus pheasant, and many other fascinating species that call this ancient forest home.

After enjoying one final lunch surrounded by nature, your adventure concludes with a traditional “Jungle Taxi” river tubing experience along the Bohorok River. Floating downstream is the perfect way to end your rainforest journey while taking in the beautiful scenery one last time.

You’ll return to Bukit Lawang between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, bringing home unforgettable memories of your time in one of the world’s most remarkable rainforests.
